Yes there is a car park at all of our pools. At certain times they can get busy. You are able to park on the road for free.

Unfortunately as all businesses, we are charged card and bank handling fees when we collect or in some occasions refund fees. To deal with the customer requests for changes of times or days and to offer customer service to help with these we have a member of staff dedicated to this role. The admin fee covers these costs. We do not have a booking fee or membership fee.

You can add your email address on the home page. You will then be updated on all news such as when to book for the following term, so you do not miss important dates. Also you can follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

When: New and current customers can book any of our lessons at any time. We remind our current customers that after the half term we will be taking bookings for the following term and that they have a certain period (after each half term) until the deadline day to re-book their existing times. If customers wish to change their time for the following term, we recommend to do this earlier rather than on the deadline day. All times are then confirmed 5-7 days after this deadline day. If we cannot offer you the day and time you requested - a full refund will be given. Existing customers do not lose their existing time until we have arranged their request.

We are sorry but we do not refund, transfer or make-up lessons, This includes if it snows. We generally open in bad weather but do update our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter regularly.

First of all - well done to your child for swimming! It is a great achievement and this is what we love to see.  If your child is at a good level in one of our Junior classes that swim across the width of the pool, we may recommend for you to join one of our Advanced Coaching sessions and there is even Scuba Club!

Yes. The teacher and/or assistant is in the water with the beginner classes and weaker swimmers.

We are now asking all children (3 years plus) to wear a hat when swimming. These can be purchased at the pool where we have reduced our prices. We would prefer if adults wear a hat.

Yes, at most times, we have different classes of ability at the same time. So all your children can swim at the same time.

The maximum we go to in each group is 6. Usually if the class gets to 6, there will be an assistant as well. We do our best not to reach six in a class. Our advanced coaching classes work in squads of swimmers.

We do not allow parents on the side in Whetstone or Woodside Park. We offer a reception area where we serve refreshments and look over the swimming pool. There are also windows all the way down the pool to see lessons from the outside too.

Parent and baby lessons: 6 months to 3 years
Juniors: 3 years upwards.
Advanced Coaching: 8 years upwards. This class is for swimmers who are competent in all 4 strokes (frontcrawl, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly) The session is held down the length of the pool in a squad of swimmers with a coach. This lesson goes down the length of the pool.

Yes! We believe this is an important part of a child's learning experience - and adults! There is a badge day every term where all pupils can go for certain badges. The badge scheme was designed by Pam and Ron Rolfe in 1975 when the Whetstone pool was opened. The scheme has proved very successful over the years. There is a good progression throughout the scheme. There are also distance badges, lifesaving and ASA speed award to gain. Badges and levels are looked at each week by our supervisors on the poolside. If you would like to purchase the badges and certificates, they are £2 for the badge and £2 for the certificate and are ordered on the badge day and are given the following week. We do not add this to the terms price, as not everyone wishes to purchase them.

Yes we do. 1-1 and 2-1 lessons. We offer these during the term and also during the holidays. During the holidays, you can book these as and when you wish depending on availability. In the term our hours are 7am to 9pm and offer these lessons every half hour of the day.

Yes in our Whetstone and Woodside Park pools.

These are adult only sessions and on a Sunday we offer a family swim in our Woodside Park pool. The price is for the term and adjusted once the term has started. You can see the times in our news posts. We sometimes offer 'turn up and and pay' sessions where you can call and pay before you turn up.

Yes we do. We offer a variety of courses such as pool plant courses, along with The Royal Life Saving Society's National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and teacher qualifications from the Amateur Swimming Association and the Swimming Teachers' Association. Dates will be found on our news post. If you are looking for a certain course and you cannot find what you are after, please contact us.

Swimming costume, towel and hat is all you need. We provide everything else. Babies MUST wear swim nappies and we also ask for a Happy / double Nappy to be worn which can be bought at the pools.

Swimming hats must be worn by all children over 3 years old.
